How we review Riverside

What this site is

Riverside Reviews is an independent review aggregator. We are not Riverside and we don't work for them. Our goal is simple: collect what real users say about Riverside across the platforms where they post it, then organize it so you can make an informed decision in a few minutes instead of an afternoon.

Where the reviews come from

We aggregated 96 published reviews across 5 platforms. We did not write, edit, or solicit any of them. Every review is the words of a real Riverside user, quoted from its original source:

  • G2· Verified business users; the largest and most positive Riverside review pool.
  • Trustpilot· Open consumer reviews; the most critical pool, heavy on billing and support complaints.
  • Capterra· Verified software buyers, mostly small businesses and solo podcasters.
  • Google Play· Android app reviews; the store rating is high but written reviews skew critical.
  • Apple App Store· iOS app ratings; a large, positive base with few written reviews.

Riverside averages 4.6 across 29,000+ ratings on five platforms. The reviews on this site are a hand-picked snapshot of that corpus, chosen to reflect its recurring themes, critical reviews included.

How we score and tag

Each review is tagged by sentiment (positive, mixed, or critical) and by audience (creator or business), so you can filter to the perspective that matches you. The verdict score on the homepage is the count-weighted average of the five platforms' own public ratings, using the counts listed above. Our snapshot skews toward written and critical reviews on purpose, so its plain average (3.9/5) runs lower than the platform-wide figure. Neither number is made up, and neither is weighted to flatter the product.

Why we publish critical reviews

A review site that only shows praise isn't a review site. We include the negative reviews on purpose: the billing complaints, the support frustrations, the edge-case bugs, all verbatim and unedited. Balance is the entire point. It's what lets you trust the positive reviews too.

Affiliate disclosure

We earn a commission if you sign up for Riverside through links on this site, at no extra cost to you. This is how we fund the work. It does not influence which reviews we show, how we tag them, or the score we report. The data is the data whether or not you click a link.

Keeping it current

Products and sentiment change. We refresh the review set on a regular basis and re-check facts like pricing and features, and we stamp every page with a “last updated” date so you know how fresh the analysis is. This page was last updated August 7, 2026.
