Likes: As someone who started this podcast with unreliable internet in a rural community, it was invaluable that Riverside records the files locally and uploads them later. It made interviews that would have been nearly impossible to record with decent quality audio and video become well-produced podcast episodes. Dislikes: So the thing that has bugged me about it, and I think this is mostly fixed now, but the edit function, and especially when I tried to download an edit from the web, it would crash my browser. I could eventually get it to work, but it would sometimes take multiple tries to get it working well enough to download the edit I wanted.
Likes: The feature I use most is the magic clips -- it makes something that I used to dread (editing social media clips) into something easy, fast, and fun! Dislikes: Honestly...nothing! It used to crash or lag during interviews so I used to warn my guests about that before we started recording, but it hasn't done that much lately. So I truly have no complaints!

The embedded AI is excellent overall, although it still needs a bit of refinement. Pricing for an individual such as myself is quite reasonable given the value this tool brings. My workflow is pretty straightforward. I use the planner tool to schedule my interviews. When it comes to recording, I have had great luck with both the quality of the audio and the video. And in all cases, the media correctly uploaded to Riverside for editing. … Dislikes: The Mac desktop client is great for recording. But on my Mac Neo, I miss the responsiveness of a native editor. I came from Descript, I like them for their editing tools which are admittedly slightly more granular, however the program was constantly updating and the UI was always in flux and that hampered my ability really lock in a workflow. With Riverside, the granularity is not completely present but the areas that are missing are negligible and i can work with them. I already have a workflow down and have only recorded on the platform four times. Dislikes: 1. I cant do much with segment transitions, id like the ability to create and save transitions to my brand in the same way i can insert intro and outtro. 2.
