★★★★★Riverside cut our podcast production time in half
Likes: The recording quality with remote participants and the automated editing tools. We get professional results without the hours of manual production work. Dislikes: Audio replacement requires deleting and republishing rather than a simple file swap. It's a minor inconvenience, but it'd be nice to have a true replace option.

★★★★★Riverside is Great For Rural Creators
Likes: As someone who started this podcast with unreliable internet in a rural community, it was invaluable that Riverside records the files locally and uploads them later. It made interviews that would have been nearly impossible to record with decent quality audio and video become well-produced podcast episodes. Dislikes: So the thing that has bugged me about it, and I think this is mostly fixed now, but the edit function, and especially when I tried to download an edit from the web, it would crash my browser. I could eventually get it to work, but it would sometimes take multiple tries to get it working well enough to download the edit I wanted.

★★★★★Magic Clips Make Social Media Editing Easy, Fast, and Fun
Likes: The feature I use most is the magic clips -- it makes something that I used to dread (editing social media clips) into something easy, fast, and fun! Dislikes: Honestly...nothing! It used to crash or lag during interviews so I used to warn my guests about that before we started recording, but it hasn't done that much lately. So I truly have no complaints!

★★★★★Extremely Intuitive Platform and an Overall Great Tool
Likes: Riverside has been a game changer at my company and in my own role! Being able to seamlessly record myself and others virtually and bring that recording right into other applications has been fantastic. After each call, Riverside's platform automatically generates AI clips, transcripts, captions for social media and so much more! The entire platform is so simple to utilize and is extremely reliable. … Dislikes: Nothing really comes to mind at the moment!

★★★★★Easy, User-Friendly All-in-One Editor with Excellent AI and Regular Updates
Likes: Extremely easy to use and genuinely user-friendly. The vast majority of the features work very well, and the regular product updates keep it feeling cutting-edge. The embedded AI is excellent overall, although it still needs a bit of refinement. Pricing for an individual such as myself is quite reasonable given the value this tool brings. If you are a YouTuber, podcaster, frequent video-caller who likes to edit - this may be a one-stop shop tool for you. Dislikes: It uses a lot of memory, even when it’s just open in the background. I’ve found that closing extra tabs while using it helps keep performance up. Also, the AI voice feature occasionally goes a little crazy—this has happened about half a dozen times for me. …

★★★★★Professional-Quality Podcasting Made Simple ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Likes: My favorite thing about Riverside is the local recording quality. Even if an internet connection drops or becomes unstable during an interview, Riverside records each participant directly on their own device and uploads the high-quality files afterward. That provides clear, professional audio and video without the glitches common to many video conferencing platforms. … Dislikes: The main drawback is that some of Riverside’s most useful editing and AI features are limited to the higher-priced subscription plans. I have also experienced occasional uploading, syncing, or browser-related issues after longer recording sessions. These problems have been minor, but they can add extra time to the production process. …

★★★★★Riverside: A solo podcaster's first choice
Likes: For an easy-to-use tool, RIverside is surprisingly powerful. From scheduling podcasts, to editing, hosting and distributing, the tool set has everything I need to run my show. My workflow is pretty straightforward. I use the planner tool to schedule my interviews. When it comes to recording, I have had great luck with both the quality of the audio and the video. And in all cases, the media correctly uploaded to Riverside for editing. … Dislikes: The Mac desktop client is great for recording. But on my Mac Neo, I miss the responsiveness of a native editor. It's a small complaint.

★★★★★The future of all recording and editing
Likes: I love that I can record high-quality content solo with a teleprompter (with my phone or high-end camera) or just a conversation with a friend or colleague, and it's really easy to use even for non-techie folks. The transcription is really valuable, as you can quickly jump to the good parts. I'm warming up to the online text-based editor as I see how it's faster than desktop editing for some simple edits. Dislikes: I wish I could make others host so I wouldn't have to be there to start and stop recordings. I wish it were easier to share recordings with others who don't have an account. I know it's possible, but it could be more straightforward. …

★★★★★Studio-quality remote recording that keeps our crew connected across the US
Likes: The local recording with separate audio and video tracks is an absolute game-changer. It means internet drops or lag never ruin a take, and having pristine, isolated tracks ready to go makes the post-production editing process for The Rooted Crew Podcast incredibly smooth. It gives us studio-grade quality every single time, no matter where our guests are. Dislikes: The browser-based setup can be pretty heavy on system resources, which occasionally causes high CPU usage or fan noise on older laptops when running a long session. There are also moments where massive local files take a while to fully upload and process after a recording wraps, causing a bit of a bottleneck when we're ready to jump …

★★★★★Effortless Recording and Amazing Text-Based Editing
Likes: The most helpful thing about Riverside is how easy it is to use. I can just hit record and let the AI lay the groundwork for me with cuts and clips, and the text-based editing is amazing. I also like that Riverside has added a lot of different ways to connect and share your content once it’s finished. They make it really easy to upload to different social media channels and other platforms, and you can even host your podcast and get an RSS feed. Dislikes: I think we’re still early in the AI journey, and there are simply some things that are better handled manually. I do believe it’s going to be good once AI catches up to the level of professional editing.Performance-wise, I'm still not sure if it is my connection and my computer that is slow or if it is the Riverside platform that takes a …

★★★★★Effortless Workflow and Reliable Performance with Riverside
Likes: It works... I came from Descript, I like them for their editing tools which are admittedly slightly more granular, however the program was constantly updating and the UI was always in flux and that hampered my ability really lock in a workflow. With Riverside, the granularity is not completely present but the areas that are missing are negligible and i can work with them. I already have a workflow down and have only recorded on the platform four times. Dislikes: 1. I cant do much with segment transitions, id like the ability to create and save transitions to my brand in the same way i can insert intro and outtro. 2. I would like to see the addition of sound keys added to the music part of the editor. …

★★★★★High-Quality Recording Made Simple for Solo Creators
Likes: The audio and video quality are consistently excellent, and being able to use my iPhone as my main camera while routing audio through my Rodecaster Pro has been a complete game-changer. Once the workflow is set, Riverside gives me a polished, professional look without needing a full studio. I also appreciate that the team listens to user feedback, it feels like a platform that’s actually evolving with creators, not against them. Dislikes: There’s a noticeable learning curve, especially when switching from other platforms. Some workflows like getting my iPhone set as the main camera without ending up in a split screen can feel a little confusing at first. …
