Likes: As someone who started this podcast with unreliable internet in a rural community, it was invaluable that Riverside records the files locally and uploads them later. It made interviews that would have been nearly impossible to record with decent quality audio and video become well-produced podcast episodes. Dislikes: So the thing that has bugged me about it, and I think this is mostly fixed now, but the edit function, and especially when I tried to download an edit from the web, it would crash my browser. I could eventually get it to work, but it would sometimes take multiple tries to get it working well enough to download the edit I wanted.
Pros: Having used both Zoom and Riverside to record remote podcasts, it is clear that Riverside's system is far superior for this kind of work. I've rarely had any issues having clients or guests use Riverside for their podcast recordings. … Cons: I've noticed that the paywall seems to be shifting as of late - a few less features available for the price that I'm paying. And once or twice I've had recordings disappear. Sometimes support is able to dig them up, sometimes they arent. But that hasn't happened in a while!

Likes: The feature I use most is the magic clips -- it makes something that I used to dread (editing social media clips) into something easy, fast, and fun! Dislikes: Honestly...nothing! It used to crash or lag during interviews so I used to warn my guests about that before we started recording, but it hasn't done that much lately. So I truly have no complaints!
Pros: so easy to use. excellent customer support and absolutely the best product on the internet for what I need. Cons: Can't do full screen when I have more than one 'Guest' on the call, which limits my team because we need to see what's in and out of frame. (NOTE: I bet this is just a user error on my side)
I love using Riverside.fm for my podcast recordings. It is great for video, audio, and clips. They keep adding features to make it better. Since I started using it, they've added a teleprompter, automatic video clip generation' and the ability to edit with AI. Game changer and time saver!!
The app is great in every way. However they are missing just one thing to make it perfect. Please bring media board to iPad app. I don’t want to carry around my laptop for media board when I could just do it on my iPad. Please add this feature and this app will be perfect!
I avoided making videos for such a long time because I found the process too complex. (1) Getting set up with a teleprompter to record things, and (2) most especially, editing the output to look and sound reasonable. Riverside solves both of those problems for me, to the point that I actually enjoy making videos now!! Thanks.
