Android app reviews; the store rating is high but written reviews skew critical.

The Android app holds a 4.5 from about 7,470 ratings, but the most-surfaced written reviews are critical: uploads stuck at 100%, missing features compared to desktop, and login or joining problems. Positive reviewers use it as a remote-guest companion to the desktop platform rather than a full editing tool.

I love using Riverside.fm for my podcast recordings. It is great for video, audio, and clips. They keep adding features to make it better. Since I started using it, they've added a teleprompter, automatic video clip generation' and the ability to edit with AI. Game changer and time saver!!

Run as far away as you can. I wasted 3 months using riverside and we had to trash our entire last podcast episode because not only did the primary files fail but the back ups failed too. I worked with them for 3 months and all they could tell me was sorry. They offer great features but its no good if your files are corrupt or unrecoverable.

Spent hours in waiting for upload. Uploading stucks at 100% and then it doesn't upload anymore. Which is really annoying... I've already tried hundred times uploading an audio recording. My work is being cancelled because of this uploading issue...🙂

Web app had unexpected errors so had to use the Android app and my Bluetooth headphones. Glad I don't use Riverside with my own show. Update: turns out it was the AdGuard AdBlocker add-on that I run in Chrome and Edge. I don't run ad blockers in Firefox but Riverside doesn't support Firefox. Updated from 1 star to 3 stars. Should test how your web app responds to ad blockers.

The Riverside.FM app on Android is very user-friendly. I recorded a remote interview with a guest who was using an iPhone. Although the connection for the call was spotty due to the guest's cellular connection, the recording on each device was clean and clear as advertised. Each device uploaded the recording seamlessly. I use Riverside.fm for all of my podcast recording, and I highly recommend this app.

Great quality and storage features! All it needs now is a single master time stamp that begins when recording starts so interrupted recordings do not show up as if they were an additional guest and latency between geographically dispersed guests do not talk over each other in the final product.

The mobile application does not show any options except start recording and uploading. But after the record is completed it does not show any option where I can find my recordings and the application does not show any option of using headphones or else or the options which are there in the link. The app is complete mess. I am having trouble to record directly using the application. When I try to record it through the link it just redirects me to the application.

This app is awesome. We record all our podcast episodes, shorts and live streams with it. It's full of useful features. It's by no means perfect, but the dev team seems to constantly improving and making it better. And that's what it's all about. Cheers!

I wish I could give it zero stars. I do my podcast from my android phone and the app doesn't really work. I can record but that's it. No renaming, no editing, I can't even preview my podcast. I can't believe this is what Spotify changed to. I'm going to have to find another way to do my podcast.

Awful experience. I lost access to my previous podcast that I had with Spotify. Can't edit in the cellphone like I used to. Spotify blew it with this. I'm really frustrated. To make matters worse there is no tech support no nothing to help or guide in the transition from Spotify for Podcasters to this app.

This is a scam!!! I attempted to cancel my pro subconscription for a year. My bank tells me I have to cancel my subscription with Riverside. I can't cancel my subscription because the website has me on a free plan, which doesn't allow me to delete my payment method. However, I'm being charged $29.00 a month for a free service for over a year!!!

Not bad. Contrary to what they say you can't just share directly to Spotify, just like anywhere else you've gotta download then upload. The trim function is much less precise than what Spotify used to have as well. The AI builds an automatic transcript which is nice. You can host multiple people (so long as you're on a computer and not mobile) Overall it's pretty good but it's not the most user friendly and intuitive
