How to cancel Riverside and get a refund
To cancel Riverside on a computer, go to Settings, then Plan & Billing, and click Cancel plan. Refunds are possible within 24 hours of buying a monthly plan or 14 days of buying a yearly one. How to cancel Riverside on a computer
- Log into your Riverside account.
- Click the account menu button in the bottom left corner, then Settings.
- Under Your account, click Plan & Billing.
- Click Cancel plan at the bottom of the page.
- Pick a reason, click Continue to cancel, and answer the remaining questions until Riverside confirms the account is canceled.
How to cancel Riverside in the mobile app
- Open the Riverside app and tap the current studio in the top left corner.
- Tap Settings in the bottom left corner, then Subscription.
- Tap Cancel plan and answer the questions until you see the confirmation.
These steps cancel a subscription bought from Riverside. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings instead. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it.
The Riverside auto-renewal rule in the terms
Section 8.1 of Riverside's terms says your subscription renews automatically for the same period and will be charged “unless you cancel your subscription at least 30 days prior to the expiration of your previous subscription.” On an annual plan, that means deciding a month before the renewal date shown in Plan & Billing. Put a reminder in your calendar when you subscribe.
Free trials convert to a paid plan when they end unless you cancel before the trial ends. After you cancel, paid features stay on until the end of the period you have already paid for.
What happens to your Riverside recordings
Riverside says your recordings are not deleted when you cancel or downgrade. Its help center recommends downloading separate tracks and exported timelines before the billing period ends.

When does my Riverside plan end after I cancel?+
Your paid features continue until the end of the current billing period, and then the account moves to the free plan. Cancelling stops future charges only.
